Handcrafted in farming villages in the Bolgatanga region of northern Ghana, the high quality Bolga baskets are perhaps the most iconic of all African baskets. They are woven from durable elephant grass. Every purchase helps provide a sustainable way of life for farmers and weavers in the area.

The patterns, sizes and shape of the Kandiga baskets will vary slightly as they are handwoven by different weavers.
Care: If the basket gets out of shape, soak in lukewarm water and reshape as needed. If necessary, cut off any protruding stray grass with scissors.
