The nursing pillow is made of kapok fibre, a natural and organic material that is 8 times lighter than cotton. Kapok is an organic fiber obtained from the seed pods of trees that grow wild in tropical forests. The fiber has many valuable properties that are perfect for sensitive babies, allergy sufferers and the environment.
It's more breathable than any other natural fiber because it has a hollow core and is 80% air, making it about eight times lighter than cotton.
The fibers are covered with a thin layer of wax that repels insects and dust mites. Therefore, no pesticides are used in the production process. Breastfeeding pillow covers are available in various enchanting and sophisticated prints from the Konges Sløjd brand to match the kapok nursing pillow. These are made from organic cotton satin and are machine washable.
